Unique Conferences

The English Riviera

The English Riviera is home to a number of unique conference venues that will delight – and surprise – delegates and guests. From historic buildings to tourist favourites, the English Riviera has the venues to turn a successful conference into an unforgettable one.

Riviera International Conference Centre

The English Riviera

Located in Torquay near its famous seafront, this purpose-built venue offers 10 conference rooms, the largest with a 1500 capacity. State-of-art facilities abound from audio-visual capabilities to WiFi. The RICC was also the first English conference centre to be accredited with the silver Green Tourism Business Scheme Award for their commitment to environmental practices.

Kents Cavern

The English Riviera

These prehistoric caves, some two million years old, make for a truly unique venue. Conference guests can dine in the restaurant before enjoying a guided tour that includes the oldest human fossil in Britain – a 37,000 year-old jawbone! Or perhaps get your conference off to a spectacular start with a champagne reception among the candlelit caves.

Torquay Museum

The English Riviera

A grade-2 listed building, the museum is a special place to hold an event. With a choice of three rooms to suit party sizes of up to 190 and exhibition galleries ideally suited to evening receptions and events, it’s as functional as it is fascinating. Here guests can learn a little more about the English Riviera’s vibrant history, including an Agatha Christie Gallery that details the story of Torquay’s most famous daughter.

Torre Abbey Historical House and Gardens

The English Riviera

Room options include the Spanish Barn (with its links to Sir Francis Drake and the Spanish Armada), the Ballroom, the Dining Room and the Long Gallery.
