Tourism event heads to Torquay

A major conference is taking place in the South of England, according to a source.

The British Resorts and Destinations Association is holding its annual gathering across three days in Torquay, reports

Livermead House Hotel is opening its doors to stage the conference, which will see all things tourism discussed, event organisers may be interested to hear.

Georgina Bowen, marketing manager for the English Riviera Tourist Board, told the news provider about the benefits of the region hosting this event.

She said: "It serves to bring the English Riviera to the forefront of British tourism management and raises our profile across the country."

Ms Bowen went on to say that she is "delighted" that the conference has come to Torquay.

A range of seminars and discussions are set to take place at the event, with talks from Visit England among those planned, the source added.
