RICC launches brand new website

There's nothing new about replacing colourful brochures with informative web sites but the launch of Torquay Riviera International Conference Centre's new site goes a lot further.

In an effort to make browsing simpler and for the users to access all the information they want easily and quickly, the RICC has launched a brand new website which offers organisers all the information they want at their fingertips.

There is advice and help on room plans, travel, contacts and facilities and according to managing director Barry Cole, the new site reassures organisers and buyers about the competency of the RICC to deliver through verifiable third party endorsements.

The new site has been developed by South Devon website design and marketing company Createanet and is one of two dedicated sites to encourage conferences to the English Riviera. The sister site, Conference Torquay, promotes the English Riviera as a conference destination with details of all of Torquay's conference venues including those with unusual meeting and banqueting facilities as well as other services. On the site, delegates can also book their accommodation live to attend events at the RICC and even access information to car share and in doing so, reduce their carbon footprint relating to the conference.

The RICC also has additional websites specific to the other business in which it is involved such as the Bay Brasserie, banqueting and outside catering, ancillary leisure facilities of a health club and large freeform pool both of which are an added benefit to visiting delegates.

Barry Cole added: "We are delighted with the way our new websites have achieved what we set out to do. The design of our web sites have never been completed and we confronted the problem of making them relevant by splitting our sites so they could each appeal to the client in the most appropriate way. We sought feedback from clients so that we could make sites relevant and we continue to welcome any input that will help new clients easily access the information they want."

Kevin King, managing director of Createanet said: "The redevelopment of the new sites are completely in keeping with the way the Internet has evolved. The sites comply with disability regulations and they are fully searchable by all of the major search engines and, most important, by using the correct infrastructure, the sites offer easy to navigate information that can be found by both the site users and the search engines.
" I am extremely pleased that the RICC has entrusted Createanet with the re development as they were one of my original clients when I launched the company from a small bedroom at the rear of my house many years ago. The ongoing relationship proves we must still be getting it right even though we are continuing to grow at an alarming rate. We look forward to supporting the RICC in the future."
