Conference English Riviera Brand Launched to Grow Bay's Conference Business

Conference English Riviera Brand Launched to Grow Bay's Conference Business

The marketing strategy for the Bay's dedicated Conference Team is about to take on a new look and feel to encourage more conference bookings to Torquay and the Riviera International Conference Centre (RICC).

To take full advantage of the growing appeal of the English Riviera brand, which is increasingly promoted by the English Riviera Tourism Company (ERTC), the RICC board have confirmed that they are to replace the existing Conference Torquay branding with Conference English Riviera.

"We can see great benefits of working more closely with the English Riviera brand", said Nicky Harding, Manager of Conference Torquay, "as it allows us to broaden our destination offering when we are talking to prospective conference organisers. The new branding will help us to package up all that the English Riviera has to offer, as a leading and inspiring great value coastal destination".

Over the next 12 months, the Conference Team, including Sarah James, PR & Marketing Coordinator, will be exhibiting at a number of meeting industry events, promoting the new Conference English Riviera brand. This will include attendance at International Confex in London and at EIBTM in Barcelona, enticing more organisations to make South Devon their first choice.

Locally based website companies Createanet and e-Strategy have been commissioned by the RICC board to work together on a complete overhaul of the existing Conference Torquay website. A completely refreshed Conference English Riviera website will be launched, targeting key sectors of the conference market to drive up enquiries.

"The conference market is very competitive", said Simon Jolly, General Manager of the RICC, "so we see further investment in digital marketing and professional search engine optimisation as essential if we are to continue to grow conference business for the Bay".

Conference English Riviera will be officially launched on March 21st at the English Riviera and South Devon, Business, Leisure and Hospitality Exhibition and Conference and at International Confex in London, 19th to 21st March 2013.
